Jonathan Todd Keynote:

Jonathan Todd opens the We Make Our Future conference with an inspiring look at the power of using sustainable design principles to revamp our old models for providing critical public infrastructure and protecting essential water supplies.  He will begin with a narrative history of ecological design, paying special tribute to the early pioneers in the field.  Jonathan will explain the advances in ecological design that are giving communities a way to solve the challenges facing the water and wastewater industry including nutrient management, potable water security, and energy production.  These design principles will be illustrated with a tour of Eco-Machine and Aqua Restorer technologies and concepts as ecological strategies to remediate impaired water and wastewater.  The Todds have received numerous awards for their environmental innovation, including the Buckminster Fuller Challenge Award to support their work in restoring Appalachian watersheds damaged by mountain-top removal coal mining.
