What is the role of spirituality in creating a regenerative future?

This workshop will explore how religion and spirituality affect our understanding of and relationship with the environment. We will discuss the important role of communities of faith in environmental stewardship, activism, and advocacy--with examples from the Interfaith Power & Light movement and the Baha’i International Community. We’ll also explore the critical question, “If a ‘change of heart’ is necessary to transform our relationship with the planet and each other, what role does spirituality play?” This conversation will include references to the inspiring work of Joanna Macy and Thomas Berry. The workshop will include substantial time for audience participation in the discussion.
